ESGE at GASTRO 2009

November 21 – 25, 2009, London, UK

GASTRO 2009 is drawing near and we would like to update you on endoscopic educational features offered by ESGE in London. This year, together with the World Organisation of Digestive Endoscopy (OMED), we look forward to offering an interesting variety of activities.

Visit the ESGE/OMED Learning Area which is open to all GASTRO 2009 delegates and offers hands-on training on biologic models and simulators, DVD teaching stations, and small forum lectures with the experts.

Hands-On Training on Biologic Models (Saturday – Wednesday)

Saturday and Sunday hands-on training in cooperation with ESGENA will take place in the Hands-On-Training Center. Participation at this event requires registration so please ensure that you are at the session in good time. With access to state of the art endoscopic equipment and accessories and with personal doctor and nurse tutoring, participants will have the opportunity to perform upper and lower GI techniques. Please check the “Endoscopy at GASTRO 2009” for information on the times and procedures available. From Monday to Wednesday training will also be available at the Learning Area on both biologic models and simulators. These stations will be placed near the entrance of the Learning Area and no registration is required.

ESGE/OMED DVD Learning Centre (Saturday – Wednesday)

The DVD Learning Centre offers all delegates the opportunity to visit 18 stations where the latest teaching material may be viewed on video screens with headphone sound transmission.

ESGE/OMED Lecture Theatre (Sunday – Wednesday)

In small-forum discussions with experts, specialists in their fields focus on topics of special interest before a small audience. All are invited to join in discussion following the presentation. In favour of a classroom atmosphere, the number of participants is limited to 70.

J. Devière is giving a lecture on Tuesday, 12.15 – 12.45.
