3rd joint European NOTES Workshop of EAES and ESGE

The European annual think tank of experts from laparoscopic surgery and interventional endoscopic disciplines, dedicated to furthering the development of N.O.T.E.S., will meet for the third time this September in Barcelona.

Specialists and scientific fraternity will meet in dialogue with medical device and biomedical Industry to compare NOTES on the latest results and findings in research and clinical practice with the aim of establishing new benchmarks in best practice in Europe.

ESGE Grant Programme

Applications 2010

Grant application deadline July 1, 2009!

Each year the ESGE awards ten Postgraduate Grants to young endoscopists who wish to undertake further training in highly specialised endoscopic techniques. The trainings take place at officially recognised ESGE training centres. Currently there are 15 such units located throughout Europe. The grant period covers eight weeks and includes travel costs, accommodation and a moderate allowance.

Application available to ESGE individual members

The application term for the 2010 Grant Programme is now ongoing and will end on July 1, 2009. Applicants are required to be fully trained endoscopists under the age of 40 in the year of application, and they must be ESGE members. A high proficiency in English, French or German is required.

   ESGE Postgraduate Grants cover the following expenses:
dotEconomy travel
dotBasic hospital/university accommodation in a single room (possibly shared)
dotMonthly allowance of € 750
dotInsurance: where applicable. Applicants should have their own private health insurance

ESGE Individual Membership 2009

Join ESGE now for €120!

The annual fee for ESGE Individual Membership is EUR 195 for the term beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31 of the current year. ESGE now offers staggered fees for those joining at a later quarter of the year. Please note that these reduced fees only apply to the first year of membership. As of the second year, the annual membership fee is 195 EUR:

   ESGE Postgraduate Grants cover the following expenses:
dot€ 195 as of January (incl. Endoscopy issues 1 - 12)
dot€ 160 as of April (incl. Endoscopy issues 4 - 12)
dot€ 120 as of July (incl. Endoscopy issues 7 - 12)
dot€ 80 as of October (incl. Endoscopy issues 10 - 12)
