Dear Colleagues! 

As you might be aware the UEGF Lifetime Achievement Award 2009 will be presented this year to Professsor Guido Tytgat, The Netherlands. The Award will be formally presented by the UEGF President, Juan R. Malagelada during the Plenary Session on Monday, November 23, 2009 on occasion of GASTRO 2009 UEGW/WCOG (08:00 a.m. in room S1/2/3 at the ExCel, London). 

It is with great pleasure that we call for applications for the


UEGF Lifetime Achievement Award 2010 which will be presented at next years UEGW in Barcelona, 23 – 27, October 2010. 


UEGF Council again would like to honour individuals whose sustained and outstanding accomplishments have significantly improved the lives of people with gastrointestinal diseases and whose contributions, leadership and impact are widely acknowledged by the broader gastroenterological community. Please find attached a letter including all the relevant information on the details of this award and the nomination process and visit www.uegf.org.

UEGF accepts nominations from UEGF member societies, national gastroenterological societies and self-nominations. All nominations must be submitted electronically to the UEGF Secretariat by March 31, 2010 at the latest.
