Dear WGO membership and partners of the WGO, As the new co-editors of the World Gastroenterology News (WGN) we would like to wish you a successful start to the year 2010 and give you a brief update on the newest WGO Publication. To better serve our membership’s needs, an electronic version of the World Gastroenterology News (e-WGN) will be released on a quarterly basis instead of a monthly E-Newsletter and a bi-annual WGN. This new hybrid publication, e-WGN, will include a great variety of scientific articles, WGO member society news and information about the latest developments in WGO’s educational programmes. As each issue of e-WGN is released, you will receive an e-alert with a direct link to the WGO website where you can choose from an easily printable PDF document or a flip-through version for comfortable online reading. In 2010 the first issue of e-WGN will be released in mid-March and will include some scientific highlights from GASTRO 2009 UEGW/WCOG, preview of 2010 World Digestive Health Day that will focus on IBD, a section that will highlight two new WGO member societies and the first in a series of articles discussing the implementation of the WGO Global Guidelines and the Cascades in various regions of the world.
